Gratitude Journal

The gratitude journal is a method to achieve well-being in the book Flourish. It is an excellent way to encourage me to reflect on my day with optimism and love. I keep writing my gratitude journals for two months, and here are some of my posts that I want to share with you all.

September 5th, 2020

I’m very happy today because I went to Shanghai with my dad and enjoyed a good dinner in Shake Shack. This trip is my little escape from academic stresses. I really appreciate this opportunity of relaxation.

September 17th, 2020

I am grateful for my family, because whenever I need support, they will be there for me. I have a long day of working and I have been sitting in front of my dest for hours. My parents and grandparents prepared food for me so I can eat when I feel hungry. Also they took me out yesterday to have fun. I am really glad to have them supporting me all the time.

I am grateful for my grandma. Today is her birthday. She takes care of me when I was little. She is one of the people I sincerely love in the world. I hope she can always be happy and healthy.

I am grateful for my classmates, for they chat with me and we had great time together.

I’m grateful for today’s midnight pizza. It was so tasty and saved my empty stomach.

I am grateful for my mom, who are willing to navigate me through my negative feelings and give me a hug when I cry. I am also grateful for the sunshine I saw today.

I am grateful for watching stand-up comedy with my parents. That is really nice to spend time with them and chat random things with them.

I am grateful for the outdoor experience today. I had a good meal and got a pair of shoes from my grandpa.
